Marketing and Sales Analyst

Aurora World is looking for a Marketing and Sales Analyst to join our growing Marketing
department. The Analyst will work closely with Marketing and leadership to perform detailed
analyses and provide strategic guidance. This position will be supporting marketing
analytics, planning, and reporting. There is significant interaction with executives as well as
cross-functional work across training, marketing, and sales. This is a highly analytical role
involving the manipulation of large data sets and creating models, requiring a keen
understanding of sales and marketing concepts. We seek someone with a passion for statistical
analysis and predictive modeling who is highly driven and dedicated to excellence. The
successful candidate will be responsible for reporting on products, services, marketing
performance and competitive insights that lead to marketing and revenue optimization in order
to grow Marketing’s contribution to Aurora World’s business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Identifies trends by analyzing product movement, promotional impact; recommends
product, generate marketing promotions and programs.
 Assists with analysis and development of expenditure and reporting.
 Contributes to marketing budgeting management process.
 Analyzes manufacturer share of market relative to product mix by collecting, formatting,
analyzing and summarizing information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Assist in the creation and implementation of annual marketing plan.
 Assist in marketing campaigns to increase market share with existing members and
acquisition of new membership.
 Generate mailing lists for target marketing for various communication channels, i.e.,
email, social media, print media, etc.
 Ensures timely exchange of monthly data from sales force, reviews and distributes
reports, field’s inquiries from sales colleagues, and initiates data investigation and
communicates resolution.
 Builds and manages data for product market and sales. Build reports/dashboards.
 Prepares performance analysis reports post campaigns ensuring corrective
modifications are made to concurrent programs for effectiveness.
 Maintains existing sales reports and designs new reports as needed. Participates in the
evaluation, selection and implementation of a decision-support tool.
 Own sales and customer presentations, including building the actual presentation with
all the correct information. Working and collaborating with multiple cross-functional
team, including the product development team, to gather all potential content.
 Help customize the annual marketing template with fact based selling insights to
address customer needs and support specific issues.

 Support the brand team in developing, executing and analyzing consumer research
findings, then incorporating them into sales and marketing presentations.
 Perform extensive market research and determine ROI for marketing campaigns &
events
 Evaluate member demographics for trends or behavior that can be leveraged for new
business opportunities.
 Assist with additional facets of marketing, as necessary. Time will be split approximately
50/50 between analytics and general marketing support.

EXPERIENCE
 Experience building reports and dashboards for events and marketing campaigns.
 3 years of marketing and sales data analysis experience.

REQUIREMENT
 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Economics.
 Must be an advanced in MS Excel user (to include some VBA).
 Must possess strong analytical, statistical, and broad mathematical skills.
 Must be a strong time manager and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
 Must be willing to adapt quickly to changing responsibilities.
 Must be able to communicate with all levels of management.
 Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
