Showcase For Kids to Distribute; Flavor Flav Stars

(http://www.auroragift.com) and Los Angeles based Toonzone Studios agreed to a deal that marries an international plush toy phenomenon “YooHoo & Friends” with a premise to save the environment via a voice cast starring Flavor Flav. A 52-episode series already aired in Korea (via Korea Broadcasting System) and deals are in place for Al Jazeera (22 Arabic speaking countries), TV3 (Russia), RTL (Croatia) and KZOOM by VTM (Belgium).
Co- producers Aurora and Toonzone will repurpose those episodes to help broaden exposure in North, Central and South Americas, Australia and New Zealand, as well as more than 20 European countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Denmark. “YooHoo & Friends have a built in audience around the globe,” says Konnie Kwak, president of Toonzone Studios. “A funny animated show – just think Pokemon meets The Care Bears – with lovable characters is sure to win over the hearts and minds of kids everywhere. It has a specific appeal for a six to 12 year old demographic.” The premise is based on five corporate executives who will stop at nothing to make their fortunes, even if it means destroying the environment and its precious resources.
Enter Father Time, played by Flav (VH1’s The Surreal Life, Flavor of Love), who turns them into cute, fluffy animals, and teaches them positive lessons along the way. “This sets the show’s storylines in motion,” says Kwak. “Yoohoo & Friends provides an excellent opportunity for children to learn from a collection of animals at risk of extinction.
